Water Polo:
Bonita earned a semifinal spot in the CIF-SS Division 3 playoffs.
The Bearcats got out to a solid lead and held off Burbank, 13-10, in Friday’s quarterfinal round showdown.
Justin Falk had 12 big saves in goal.
Jeff Heaton led the Bearcats offense with five goals.
Gary Watson chipped in with four goals in the win.
Braeden Scoofinger contributed a pair of goals on Friday.
Giancarlo Garcia and Antonio Finianos provided one goal apiece.
Up next: The Bearcats will host Glendora on Tuesday night at 5 at Las Flores Park.
The Tartans edged Temple City, 14-13, in their quarterfinal round contest.
BHS and GHS went 1-1 against the other this season.
Glendora defeated Bonita, 8-6, on October 8th.
And one week later, the Bearcats cruised to a 15-7 victory over the Tartans.
