Football:
South Hills snapped a two-game losing streak and they secured Hacienda League victory No. 1 on Friday night.
The Huskies ran their way to a 41-21 Homecoming victory over their visitors from Walnut.
SHHS scored two TDs apiece in the first, third and fourth quarters.
The South Hills ground game accounted for 383 of the Huskies 407 yards of total offense.
And that included six rushing TDs.
Tyler Arguinzoni gained 121 yards on 16 carries.
Arguinzoni accounted for half of SHHS’ six rushing TDs.
Fabian Marez totaled 92 rushing yards on 12 carries, including two TDs.
Sebastian Morinaga carried the ball nine times for 76 yards and one score.
Jaylen Lang (7-for-57) and Jacob Gallardo (4-for-33) combined to gain 90 yards on 11 carries.
Marez completed 2-of-4 for 24 yards.
Gallardo had a 16-yard reception, and I Castellano caught one pass for eight yards.
Daniel Calderon and Ivan Lopez led the South Hills defense with eight tackles apiece.
Up next: The Huskies travel to Chino on Friday night at 7.
