Volleyball:
Just like Glendora, the Claremont volleyball program dropped the first set in Monday’s regular season finale.
And just like the Tartans, the Wolfpack claimed victory in four games to share the Palomares League championship with each other.
GHS’ lone two losses came at the hands of CHS, which means if they end up in the same CIF-SS Division, the Wolfpack will get the league’s No. 1 seed.
However, most expect them to be in different divisions.
But back to Monday.
Claremont claimed victory by scores of 21-25, 25-18, 25-11 and 26-24.
Natalie Sanchez had a team-high six kills to go with two aces, three assists and a pair of blocks.
Abby Leeper chipped in with four kills and three blocks.
Skylar Lak provided four kills, nine digs and two aces.
Chloe Leeper chipped in with three kills, three aces and one dig.
The Wolfpack made several big steps forward in 2025, one year after the program finished 10-17-1 overall, and 5-5 in Palomares League play.
Up next: The Wolfpack will get their first-round CIF-SS opponent on Saturday morning at 9.
