Football:
The Lucero brothers put on quite a show on Friday night.
Robert (quarterback) and Isaiah (receiver/DB) were in on three touchdowns apiece in Northview’s 47-14 Valle Vista League beatdown of Diamond Ranch.
Isaiah caught 10-and-38-yard TD passes from Robert Lucero.
And to show off his versatility, Isaiah picked an Isaiah Salinas pass and brought it back 58 yards for the pick-six.
Isaiah Lucero had four catches for 74 yards.
Robert Lucero completed 9-of-18 for 192 yards.
That included the two TD passes to his brother, and a 39-yard scoring strike to Jaishon Bledsoe.
Bledsoe finished with three receptions for 56 yards, and he gained 12 yards on a pair of carries.
Aaron Guillen had a game-high 92 rushing yards, including a 2-yard TD run to extend the Vikings lead to 20-0 in the second quarter.
Guillen also had a 45-yard reception.
Dominic Munoz had a 55-yard TD run for NHS, and he finished with 64 yards on three carries.
Nathan Partida caught a 17-yard pass from Lucero.
Salinas completed 9-of-16 for 131 yards in the loss.
Salinas tossed an 80-yard TD pass to Roman Garcia in the fourth quarter.
Garcia finished with two catches for 87 yards.
Jalen Gallegos led the Panthers with 78 yards rushing on 15 carries.
Tristan Kinney got Diamond Ranch on the board with his 1-yard TD run in the third quarter.
It pulled DRHS to within 27-7 of NHS.
Up next: The Vikings travel to San Dimas next Friday at 7.
The Saints dropped a 24-21 decision to their hosts from West Covina to fall to 1-1 in VVL play.
