Volleyball:
Claremont left Glendora feeling pretty satisfied on Wednesday evening.
The Wolfpack persevered in a five-set contest at GHS after falling behind 2-0.
They caught the Tartans atop the Palomares League standings.
And they picked up the season (two match) sweep.
CHS won by scores of 21-25, 22-25, 25-23, 25-19 and 15-10.
With one league match remaining on Tuesday night, Claremont and Glendora have identical 7-2 records in Palomares League play.
The Wolfpack travel to fourth-place Ayala, and the Tartans visit last-place Bonita.
Claremont’s Olivia Roberts had 14 kills, two digs and an ace.
Chloe Leeper chipped in with 12 kills, five digs and one ace.
Abby Leeper finished with nine kills and one dig.
Tatum Longyear added seven kills and a dig.
Rylan Vlasich had three kills, 37 assists, 15 digs and four aces.
Riley Frandson provided five aces, 20 digs and five assists.
And Skylar Lak totaled four kills, 16 digs and three assists.
Glendora’s Valentina Zurla had 10 kills, one dig and a block.
Sam Oliver chipped in with nine kills and four blocks.
Camilla Swain finished with eight kills, seven blocks and four digs.
Kaleia Zeits had 26 digs, three aces and five assists.
Emily Barrios produced five kills, three aces and 14 digs.
