They might have been shorthanded.

But La Salle continued its unbeaten streak in Camino Real League matches.

On Wednesday, the Lancers had just five active players due to illness.

However, La Salle cruised to a 47-stroke lead over Pomona Catholic.

The final score was 260-307 at Mountain Meadows Golf Course.

Coach Ed O’Connor described his players this way: “They stood strong as they battled the tough elements of the golf course, including all the hills and blind shots they had to take.”

La Salle was led by sophomore Sarah Tutundjian and senior Samantha Hu, who each shot 42.

Karolina Azula finished with a 56, and both Emma Bardakjian and Reese Names shot a 60.

Up next: The Lancers celebrate senior night on Thursday, as they host Bishop Conaty at Eaton Canyon Golf Course.

Record: La Salle (9-3, 8-0)
