Water Polo:
It hasn’t been a great start to the 2025 season for the Marshall water polo program.
Through the first 12 games, the Eagles had just one win.
However, Marshall doubled their win total on Thursday.
And it took two overtimes to accomplish that feat.
Marshall persevered, 18-17, at Cerritos.
Freshman Evan Sambilay only scored one goal.
But he sure made it count.
Sambilay scored with four seconds to play to secure the win.
Jack Slattery led the way with 15 goals, including three in overtime.
And Finn Slattery chipped in with five.
Malcolm Northrop’s goal came in the four-goal first period.
Up next: The Eagles travel to Covina on October 8th at 5:30.
