Volleyball:
It wasn’t the fact that Bonita lost that will bother Coach Eli Cuenca.
It was more the sloppy play, errors and dropping a two-sets to none advantage that will.
Diamond Bar rallied and handed the Bearcats their first loss in Palomares League play.
The Brahmas won by scores of 24-26, 19-25, 25-23, 25-23 and 15-11.
Sophomore Elle Howie led the way with 22 kills and one block.
Junior Sara Yeats added 17 kills, nine digs and three aces.
Sophomore Cassidy Howard provided 40 assists, five aces and six digs.
Howie described Monday’s match this way: “We errored ourselves into a loss”.
Up next: The Bearcats will host Claremont on Wednesday night at 5:30.
