Norco looked every bit the state’s No. 6 program (MaxPreps) on Saturday.

The top-seeded Cougars cruised to a 6-1 victory at Ayala in a CIF-SS Division 1 semifinal round contest.

Coral Williams went the distance in the circle.

Williams allowed just one run on three hits.

She issued one walk and registered four strikeouts.

Taelor Walker hit a solo home run in the bottom of the first inning to give AHS a 1-0 lead.

Jocelyn Escobedo and Viviana Jilek had one single apiece to account for the rest of the Bulldogs’ offense on Saturday.

Allie Lukaszewicz went 3 1/3 innings, and she was charged with five runs (two earned) on five hits.

Lukaszewicz walked one and fanned a pair of Norco batters.

The Cougars got one run on three hits off Lilianna Acosta.

Acosta walked two and struck out one.

Ashley Duran went 3-for-4 with a double and two RBIs.

Tamryn Shorter and Isabella Ray singled and scored one run apiece.

Dakota Potter doubled and scored.

Sasha Pham went 1-for-3 with two runs and a pair of RBIs.

Kendra Nelsen was hit by pitch with the bases loaded.

Leighton Gray had an RBI single.
