Seth Hernandez Goes 6IP, Allows 2 Unearned Runs, Strikes Out 10 & Hits Pair of 3-Run HRs in Corona’s 11-2 D-1 Victory Over LOHS

It would be nearly impossible to dominate a game quite like Seth Hernandez did on Tuesday.

The 6-foot-4 Corona High School senior went six innings on the mound and surrendered a pair of unearned runs on two hits in the Panthers’ 11-2 victory over Los Osos in the second round of the D-1 playoffs.

Hernandez issued one walk and registered 10 strikeouts.

He improved his personal record and ERA to 9-0 and 0.14, respectively.

Sixty of his 90-pitch outing were strikes.

Jason Gerfers got the final three outs and allowed one hit.

Roberto Topete had two of LOHS’ three hits, including a double.

Reagan Samples’ RBI single in the top of the third inning gave Los Osos a 2-0 lead.

Josh Chairez and Justin Yeutter reached base on errors in the second and third innings, and both scored one run apiece.

Wyatt Mohler got the start for LOHS, and he went 2 1/3 innings, allowing two runs on three hits.

Mohler walked a pair and struck out one.

Jordan Mejico was charged with one run on three walks in 2/3 of an inning, while striking out one CHS batter.

The Panthers scored five times on five hits in two innings off Gavin Loeb Keene.

He issued one walk, hit two batters and registered one strikeout.

Zenen Pena was responsible for three runs on four hits over 2/3 of an inning.

Pena didn’t give a free pass and struck out one.

Preston Young got the final out in the sixth inning.

Seth Hernandez walked, hit a pair of three-run HRs in the fourth and sixth innings, and he finished with six RBIs.

Brady Ebel walked, singled and scored.

Trey Ebel and Matthew Herrera singled and scored one run apiece.

Jesiah Andrade went 3-for-3 with two runs, was hit by pitch and hit a solo HR.

Anthony Murphy singled three times, was hit by pitch, scored and had one RBI.

Gavin Flores walked and scored.

Los Osos finished the 2025 season at 20-9, and that included its first Baseline League title in 12 years.
