Quotable:

Chino Hills pitcher, Brody Buoncristiani: “I focus on getting ahead of batters early in the count and staying ahead. My command was pretty good. I was able to hit my spots with the pitches my coach called. We realized this year that we were going to have to earn everything we get, because this league is very competitive. I think one of the main reasons we’re playing so well is that we’ve really taken our intensity to another level. It’s like every game is the CIF finals, and when we play with that kind of intensity, we usually play really well. We also have great chemistry on this team. We play together, for each other, and we love each other like a family. Max came in and got another save for us. He’s a fighter who won’t back down.”
