It took Etiwanda nearly a month to win their first game of the 2025 season.
And yet, with four games to play in the regular season, the Eagles are just one-game back of Rancho Cucamonga for second place.
EHS cruised to a 10-2 victory at Upland, and out-hit the Highlanders, 16-5.
The Eagles have won two in a row and four of their last five.
Michael Aleman went five innings, and he allowed one unearned run on two hits.
Aleman issued three walks and fanned seven.
AJ Salazar got the final six outs, and he surrendered one run on three hits.
Salazar didn’t allow a free pass, and he struck out a pair of Highlanders.
Tommy Lopez went 2-for-3 with a run and one RBI.
Carson Kinnick walked and drove in a run on a sac fly.
Julian Zambrano and Dom Nava had one single apiece for UHS.
Biddle got roughed up for 10 runs (eight earned) on 13 hits and three walks over 4 2/3 innings.
Ryan Severns went 3-for-5 with two runs and an RBI.
Derick Kim singled three times, scored and drove in a pair of runs.
Frank Gonzales went 1-for-2 with a walk, run, double and three RBIs.
LJ Roellig singled, scored twice and drove in a run.
