The Minutemen defeated St. Francis of Watsonville, 9-5, at the Santa Maria Tournament.
MHS out-hit the Sharks, 12-5, on Thursday.
Dylan Hoang went four innings, and he was charged with three runs on three hits.
Hoang issued three walks and fanned four.
Jacob Yun was credited with the win after going three innings, and surrendering a pair of runs on two hits.
Yun didn’t give away a free pass and struck out three SFHS batters.
Nash Horton tripled and scored a pair of runs.
Javier Fonseca went 2-for-4 with a run and one RBI.
Noah Magana singled, scored and drove in a pair of runs.
Jacob Fonseca singled and scored.
Fonseca was also charged with the loss after surrendering seven runs on six hits and three walks in the fifth inning.
Gabe Barragan had a pair of doubles, a stolen base, scored three times and drove in one.
Jayden Morales went 2-for-2 with a walk and two RBIs.
Noe Zavala singled twice and scored.
Matthew Kurkdjian had a pair of singles and stolen bases, and he scored one run.
Josh Proctor walked, doubled and scored.
Trevor Rivas drove in a run on a sac fly.
Will Suslow went 1-for-3 with a run and one RBI.
Niko Vergara walked and scored.
Lukus Perez went 1-for-3 with a run and two RBIs.
Dylan Garcia had one hit and an RBI.
