College Baseball:
Mt. SAC added another ass kicking to their 2025 resume.
The Mounties dropped an 18-1 burger on their hosts from Long Beach City College.
MSAC out-hit LBCC, 24-5, including a 5-2 edge in extra-base hits.
The South Coast champs got hits from 10 separate players.
Aaron Mingo got the loss after allowing nine runs (eight earned) on 13 hits over 5 1/3 innings.
Mingo walked three and fanned a trio of Mounties.
Ty Thomas actually had as many hits as the entire LBCC lineup.
Thomas went 5-for-7 with a double, three runs and five RBIs.
Jackson Giacone had three singles, a double, two runs and one RBI.
Noah Rodriguez went 3-for-5 with a double, two runs and one RBI.
Bryan Bradshaw walked, singled, doubled, and scored three runs.
Landon White went 2-for-5 with a walk, three runs and a pair of RBIs.
Tyler Stull singled, doubled, scored and drove in one run.
Miguel Perez went 3-for-4 with a run and one RBI.
Diego Ortiz walked, singled, scored and drove in a pair of runs.
Diego Villa walked, singled and scored.
Cole Nachreiner went 1-for-3 with a walk, run and one RBI.
Izeah Muniz improved his personal record to 10-1 after going seven scoreless innings and scattering three hits.
Muniz issued four walks and registered 10 strikeouts.
Ryan Lopetegui’s RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning pulled LBCC to within 18-1 of the Mounties.
Sabin Tomlinson singled and doubled.
Myles Fredrick doubled and scored.
Max Chiglieri had the other Vikings other base hit.
LBCC is on a six-game slide, and they’ve surrendered 11 or more runs in five of their past six games.
