Ayala inched one step closer to what it hopes will be an outright Palomares League championship.
The Bulldogs cruised to a 11-2 victory over their visitors from Claremont in the first of a three-game series.
Through the first 10 league games, AHS is 10-0 and they’ve outscored their opponents by a combined margin of 111-12.
Caleb Trugman went five innings, allowing two runs on five hits to earn the win.
Trugman did not issue a walk, and he registered nine strikeouts.
