Baseball:

Muir endured the misfortune of handing Glendale its only (7-6) Pacific League victory of the season on Tuesday.

Fast forward three days, and the Mustangs looked a lot more like the Mustangs.

Conrad Hunziker IV went all five innings in Muir’s 11-1 mercy-rule victory.

Hunziker was charged with an unearned run on one hit.

He issued three walks and registered 12 strikeouts.

Hunziker threw 92 pitches and 52 were strikes.

To put his dominance into its proper perspective, consider the following:  Hunziker got 12 of his 15 outs via strikeout.

Joseph Tapia walked and scored.

Derek Chalian had the lone Glendale hit.

Adan Rodriguez got the loss.

Rodriguez went three innings and allowed eight runs (five earned) on four hits and seven walks.

Hunziker’s two-run double in the bottom of the fifth officially ended the game at 11-1.

Donovan Williams went 2-for-3 with two runs, a double, and a solo HR.

Eduardo Sosa walked, doubled and drove in three runs.

Fletcher Paddock drew a pair of walks and scored two runs.

Bryant Soriano and Ezekiel Rodriguez walked and scored one run apiece.

Kahlil Rishwain went 1-for-3 with a walk, two runs and one RBI.

Luca Cano drew a pair of walks, singled, scored three times and drove in one.

Arturo Ayers drew a bases loaded walk.

Up next: The Mustangs travel to Lancaster on Saturday morning at 11.

MHS will then resume Pacific League play on Tuesday, as they host Hoover at 3:45.

The Tornados quit in the bottom of the first inning after Pasadena took a 10-0 lead.
