Rocha Goes Six Innings, Allowing Two Runs & Striking Out Eight in SDHS’ 8-2 Victory Over ALHS; Coleman Went 3-for-3 & Homered

Baseball:

San Dimas jumped on Alta Loma quickly, and they cruised to an 8-2 Hacienda League victory.

SDHS scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning, and they pushed across four more in the second.

The Saints had a two-game sweep this week over the Braves by scores of 12-7 and 8-2.

San Dimas out-hit Alta Loma, 10-5, and ALHS committed four errors as compared to none for SDHS.

James Rocha went six innings to earn the win, allowing two runs on five hits.

Rocha walked two and fanned eight ALHS batters.

Logan Hopper provided a scoreless seventh inning in relief.

Matthew Perez singled and scored.

Cody Primanto and Grant MacCharles both went 1-for-3 with one RBI apiece.

Vincent Cantu walked, singled and scored.

Silas Granados singled once for the Braves.

Nathan Pimentel was charged with seven runs (five earned) on five hits over two innings.

Pimentel walked two and struck out a pair of Saints.

Logan Sein was effective, going four innings and allowing an unearned run on five hits.

He walked three and struck out one.

Vaughn Coleman went 3-for-3 with a walk, two runs, an RBI single and a solo HR.

Jason Almeda singles twice, scored a pair of runs and drove in one.

Ashton Romero doubled and scored two runs.

Jayden Medina went 2-for-4 with a run and one RBI.

Jeremiah Holmes drew a pair of walks, singled and scored.

James Rocha helped his own cause with a base hit and an RBI.

Up next: The Saints will host first place South Hills on Wednesday at 3:30.

The Braves are off until April 30th, when they travel to Los Altos.
