Rancho Cucamonga opened the Baseline League portion of their schedule with a comfortable 7-1 victory over their visitors from Upland.
RCHS jumped on Upland with two in the first inning, two in the third, and for all intents and purposes, the Cougars put the game on ice with three runs in the fourth.
Rancho Cucamonga has won eight of their last nine games.
Brock Foulds went six scoreless innings and scattered four hits to earn the win.
Foulds didn’t issue a walk and registered 10 strikeouts.
Grant Thomas surrendered one run on three hits in the seventh.
