Baseball:
Miguel Castillo made program history on Monday afternoon.
The Muir senior tossed a five-inning perfect game.
MHS defeated their visitors from Eagle Rock, 10-0, in 4 1/2 innings.
Obviously, Castillo didn’t surrender a hit or walk a batter.
And he fanned four ERHS batters.
Of his 50 pitches, 34 were strikes.
Joaquin Carrasco got the loss after allowing nine runs (five earned) on eight hits over 3 1/3 innings of work.
Conrad Hunziker IV went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles, two runs and one RBI.
Arturo Ayers singled twice and scored a pair of runs.
Bryant Soriano went 2-for-3, scored twice and drove in one run.
Max Huizar had an RBI single.
Kahlil Rishwain drew a pair of walks, singled, scored twice and had one RBI.
Eduardo Sosa went 2-for-3 with two runs and a pair of RBIs.
Up next: The Mustangs will host New Roads on Wednesday at 4.
