College Baseball:
To say Mt. SAC is clicking on all cylinders would be an understatement.
The Mounties secured their second consecutive three-game SCC series sweep on Saturday.
MSAC blew out Rio Hondo College, 16-3, and they extended their current win streak to 16 games.
Mt. SAC hasn’t lost a game in 37 days.
On Saturday, the Mounties out-hit the Roadrunners, 16-7.
Dominic Elias surrendered five runs (four earned) on four hits over 3 1/3 innings to get stuck with the loss.
Elias issued six walks and fanned a pair of Mounties.
Tyler Stull went 3-for-4 with four runs, a three-run HR and an RBI double.
Landon White had three singles, drove in two, and he scored three runs.
Ty Thomas doubled and scored a pair of runs.
Bryan Bradshaw drew three walks from the leadoff spot, singled and scored.
Terrell Jackson Jr. had a two-run triple and scored.
Diego Ortiz went 2-for-4 with a walk, two runs and three RBIs.
Joel Gutierrez singled twice, scored and drove in a pair of runs.
Noah Rodriguez went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
AC Nieto singled and scored.
Cole Nachreiner drew three walks and scored one run.
Brenden Menchaca earned the win after going six scoreless innings and allowing five hits.
Menchaca walked one and fanned a pair of Roadrunners.
Josh Zarate had a two-run single.
Marcus Hernandez had an RBI single and scored.
Ryan Duron, Izaak Fernandez and Wes Pendleton had one double apiece.
Anthony Guzman singled and scored.
