Baseball:
Northview picked up win No. 2 on Tuesday.
The Vikings scored five runs in the top of the third inning, and they cruised to 6-0 victory at Kaiser.
Fernando Casas went five scoreless innings to earn the win.
Casas surrendered three hits, didn’t issue a walk and fanned six KHS batters.
NHS got one scoreless and hitless inning in relief from both Andrew Bugarin and Camren Lobo.
Jadyn Brooks had half of Kaiser’s four hits.
Alberto Arteaga doubled and Issac Estrada singled.
Aiden Gonzalez was charged with the loss after allowing five runs on five hits over three innings.
Gonzalez walked one and struck out a pair of Vikings.
AJ Flores hit a two-run HR in the top of the fifth to give Northview a 5-0 lead.
Jayden Chagollan doubled, scored and drove in one run.
Isaiah Benavidez walked, singled twice, scored and had one RBI.
Michael Mendoza went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
Joey Ramos singled and scored.
Seth Robles and Zeke Martinez walked and scored run apiece.
Jake Aguilar singled once in the win.
Up next: The Vikings host Esperanza (2-3) on Thursday at 3:15.
