CJ Murray Scores a Game-High 16 Points in Glendora’s 77-48 Over Claremont; GHS Has Won 16 Consecutive Games

Boys Basketball:

Glendora’s longest win streak in 33 years continued on Thursday night.

The Tartans dominated Claremont throughout its 77-48 Palomares League home victory.

GHS led 54-21 at the half and went on to secure a 16th consecutive win.

For the first time this season, CJ Murray, the son of former Tartan Cameron Murray, led Glendora in scoring.

The GHS sophomore scored 16 points and had two rebounds and a pair of assists.

Colton Gray added 11 points, five rebounds, four steals and three assists.

Tanner Grable chipped in with nine points and seven boards.

Hugo Montejo led Claremont with 12 points.

Max Hilgenfeldt provided seven points, four assists, five steals and three rebounds.

Moshe Loucks chipped in with six points, while Vince Montalbo, Caden Smith, Noah Rangel and JoJo De La Rosa scored five points apiece in the win.

Up next: Glendora travels to Bonita on Tuesday at 6:30.

The Bearcats (10-9) fell to 1-2 in Palomares League games after Thursday’s 56-39 loss at Walnut.
