Boys Basketball:
Glendora opened the 2024 season in style.
And they did so in dominant form.
After a 22-2 lead just eight minutes in, the Tartans cruised to a 66-40 victory over Los Amigos at the Sunny Hills Tournament.
Colton Gray began his senior campaign with 17 points and nine rebounds in 23 minutes.
Gray went 7-of-11 from the field.
Max Hilgenfeldt chipped in with 10 points and four assists.
Vincent Montalbo finished with nine points, including a 2-of-3 effort from 3-point range, and five rebounds.
Tanner Grable had eight points, six rebounds and two assists.
CJ Murray contributed six points and three assists.
Joseph De La Rosa added seven points and three rebounds.
Up next: The Tartans face Portola of Irvine tonight (Tuesday) at 6:30.
The Bulldogs defeated King, 76-59, in their season opener.
Rich Toledo led Los Amigos with 16 points.
GHS had a 42-14 lead at the half.
