Football:
LA Valley took a 3-0 lead at undefeated PCC with 3:03 to play in the first quarter.
The Lancers, however, would score the game’s next 46 points, and they cruised to a 46-6 victory.
PCC finished the 2024 regular season with an outright American Pacific Conference championship.
And the Lancers secured a 10-0 regular season run for the first time since the Gerald Ford administration (1974).
PCC had advantages in first downs (19-7), total offense (357-149), passing (119-99) and rushing yards (238-50).
Sitani Suguturaga completed 8-of-16 for 119 yards.
Suguturaga tossed TD passes of 10 and 61 yards to Maddux Mateski.
Mohammad Maali carried the ball 22 times for 111 yards.
Maali scored on a 7-yard TD run in the second quarter.
Micah Mendoza (8-for-42) and Devon Groves (4-for-40) combined to gain 82 yards on 12 carries.
All eight of Suguturaga’s eight completions went to Maddux Mateski and Flip Fox.
Mateski had four receptions for 117 yards, and Fox caught four passes for two yards.
Fox took the second-half kickoff back 100 yards for a TD and a 31-3 lead.
Ozlo Rigby booted field goals of 24, 40 and 45 yards.
Jon Bautista scored on a 7-yard TD run late in the third quarter.
Jachai Pulley and Coleman Morning led the PCC defense with seven tackles apiece.
Morning, a former baseball and football player at San Marino, had a sack and 2.5 tackles for-loss.
Luis Vasquez, Kyden Bailey, Jaydon Campbell and Julius Ray totaled four tackles each for the 10-0 Lancers.
Bailey also picked an LA Valley pass.
Up next: PCC is expected to host Chaffey in two weeks in the American Championship Bowl.
The Lancers edged the Panthers, 21-19, back in week five at PCC.
