There was zero chance that Orange Coast College was going to give their visitors from Mt. SAC a challenge.
The Pirates have just one win in 2024, and the Mounties are the No. 1 program in California.
And the score represented the stark difference in talent.
MSAC scored 48 points before OCC booted a 26-yard field goal in the fourth quarter, and they went on to claim a 62-3 victory.
The writing on the wall was evident, as Adrion Boyd returned the opening kickoff 88 yards to paydirt.
Devin Miles only got four carries on Saturday, but he totaled 72 rushing yards, including TD runs of 21 and 18 yards.
Jayson Cortes led the Mounties with 75 yards on eight carries.
Cortes scored on runs of 16 and 1 yards.
Jack Benson went 4-for-4 for 75 yards, including a 75-yard TD pass to De’shon Thompson.
Noah Fuailetolo was 4-of-6 for 51 yards and a 3-yard TD pass to Juwan Grant.
Thompson had the one catch for 75 yards.
Grant totaled three receptions for 27 yards.
Nicolas Ceballos had a 29-yard reception, and Dylan Herman caught one pass for 24 yards.
Alonso Brown reeled in a 2-yard TD pass from Marco Gonzalez.
Michael Hulverson scored on a 9-yard TD run for the undefeated Mounties.
On defense, Alo Pulu-Suliafu had a team-high six tackles, while Darrell Tripline and Nasjae Richardson tallied five tackles apiece.
Rayshaun Manker had the only Mt. SAC interception on Saturday.
Up next: The Mounties will host Long Beach next Saturday at 6.
