Keegan Campuzano Threw for 230 Yards & Three TD’s in Etiwanda’s 27-3 Victory Over Citrus Valley; Eagles Improved to 2-0 in 2024

Football:

Etiwanda is off to a dominant start to the 2024 season.

The Eagles are 2-0 after 55-0 and 27-3 victories over Grand Terrance and Citrus Valley, respectively.

The Blackhawks got a 31-yard field goal in the first quarter from Kaden Hoekstra to take a 3-0 lead.

But the Eagles would shut them out the rest of the way.

Keegan Campuzano got the start for EHS, and he completed 22-of-32 for 230 yards.

Campuzano tossed three TD passes and he was picked once by the Citrus Valley defense.

Derrick Brown anchored the EHS ground game with 71 yards on 17 carries.

Jaleel Sutton carried the ball 11 times for 35 yards and one TD.

Aureliano Bedoy led Etiwanda in catches (8) and receiving yards (74).

Myles Tarkington had five receptions for 71 yards and one score.

Tarkington caught a 39-yard scoring strike from Campuzano to give EHS a 21-3 lead.

Jaelin Moten caught four passes for 13 yards, including a 6-yard TD reception.

Chad Wakumoto had three catches for 54 yards, with the biggest of the three being a 32-yard TD reception.

Julian Cue led the EHS defense with six tackles.

Bryce Johnson picked Dominic Robles.

Etiwanda’s defense held Citrus Valley to 180 yards of total offense.

Up next: The Eagles will host Cajon next Friday at 7.

The Cowboys (1-0) defeated Norco, 29-7, back in week zero, and they had a week-one bye.
