Makamae DuPont Went 3-for-4 w/Two Doubles & Two RBIs in Orange County’s 9-2 Victory Over Arroyo Seco Royals

The Orange County Juice improved their playoff chances after Thursday’s 9-2 victory over the Arroyo Seco Royals.

With eighth games to go, the Juice are currently in fourth place in the Baseball Census Collegiate Summer League standings.

The top four in the six-team league will earn a postseason berth, which gets underway on July 27th.

Aidan Colin got the win after going three innings and allowing one run on one hit.

Colin walked two and struck out one.

Cameron Hickox provided three scoreless innings in relief, allowing two hits, walking a pair and striking out three Royals’ batters.

Jeremiah Goodwin went the final three innings, and he was charged with one run on five hits.

Goodwin didn’t issue a walk and fanned two.

Patrick Fregoso went 1-for-4 with a double, run and one RBI.

Alejandro Decreux singled twice and drove in a run.

Blake Beckley singled twice for Royals.

Chase Smith walked and singled.

Emmanuel Morales and Isaiah Figueroa singled once each in Thursday’s loss.

Keedan Nadeau walked and scored.

Alexander Corvera was saddled with the loss, allowing four runs on four hits over 2 2/3 innings.

Corvera walked six and struck out four OCJ batters.

Makamae DuPont went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a run and two RBIs.

Kyle Lewis tripled, scored and drove in a run.

Jaden St Cyr drew a pair of walks and scored both times.

Mario Catalan singled and scored.

Lucas Gabay went 1-for-3 with a walk, run and one RBI.

Owen Gott singled and drove in a pair of runs.

Matt Santiago walked twice and scored.

Daniel Rios and Manolo Tafolla walked and scored one run apiece.

Up next: The Royals and Juice will battle again on Friday at Occidental at 4.
