Tomas Bilvado Tosses Three-Hit Shutout & Strikes Out Seven in San Marino’s 5-0 Victory Over Citrus Hill in D-4 Playoff Opener

San Marino cruised to a 5-0 victory over Citrus Hill in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 4 playoffs.

And that was thanks to Tomas Bilvado’s effort on the mound.

Bilvado tossed a three-hit shutout.

He issued two walks and struck out seven.

Fifty-six of Bilvado’s 90 pitches went for strikes.

Brett Inman, Gabriel Brion and Joel Raya had one single apiece to account for the Hawks offense.

Nicholas Munoz went four innings for Citrus Hill, and he allowed three runs on six hits.

Munoz walked three and fanned a trio of SMHS batters.

Bilvado helped his own cause, going 2-for-3, including an RBI double in the bottom of the bottom of the fifth to extend the Titans lead to 5-0.

Sid Danenhauer had an RBI single, doubled and scored.

JJ Wilson walked, had an RBI single and scored.

Mikey Yessaian walked, singled and scored.

Ryan Park walked, had a two-run single and scored.

Jamie Bercaw singled and scored.

Coleman Morning singled once in Thursday’s win.

Up next: The Titans will travel to Hesperia to battle Oak Hill on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs (22-6) dropped an 18-1 hammer on Barstow in their first-round game.
