Ayala’s Jayren Chan continues to shine in his sophomore year.
After a first-round bye, Chan won the 106-pound title with four pins.
Chan stuck Kayden Vasquez in the title bout.
Walnut’s Camilo Ramirez pinned four consecutive opponents to earn a spot in the 113-pound final.
In the title bout, Ramirez edged Jesse Quiroz of Roosevelt, 6-5.
Ronnie Ramirez cruised to the 120-pound championship with five pins.
Ramirez stuck Corona Centennial’s Rocco Madrid in 1:02 in the final.
Walnut’s Christian Garcia (126) had two pins, two decisions and a major.
Garcia defeated MLK’s Mateo Ochoa, 4-2, to secure his individual championship.
Brently Macamay (144) earned the 144-pound title with four pins and a decision.
Macamay defeated top-seeded Noah Vasquez, 5-3, in the final.
Bonita’s Tristan Fernandez won his second CIF title.
Fernandez had a first-round bye, and then pinned his way to the 150-pound championship.
None of Fernandez’s opponents made it past the one-minute mark, including Ayala’s Mason Eligio, who got pinned in 39 seconds in the title bout.
