Northview caught West Covina for fourth place in the Valle Vista League standings on Friday.
The Vikings and Bulldogs got great play from their goalies.
But NHS would score in overtime to defeat WCHS, 1-0, and improved to 2-4 in VVL games.
Victoria Ramirez assisted Khloe Lopez in OT for the game’s only score.
Vanessa Ramirez and Ashley Gomez teamed up in goal to pitch a shutout for the Vikings.
Gomez had four big saves in overtime.
Up next: The Vikings travel to Charter Oak on Wednesday at 5.
