Boys Basketball:
Rancho Cucamonga battled Damien all the way to the buzzer on Tuesday night.
But the Spartans secured a 68-62 Baseline League victory in La Verne.
Nate Garcia led DHS with 22 points.
Eli Garner had all three of Damien’s 3-pointers and finished with 20 points, while Xavier Clinton chipped in with 16 points.
Aaron Glass had a game-high 29 points for RCHS.
Up next: Damien and Rancho Cucamonga will both be in action on Thursday night.
The Spartans head to Etiwanda on Thursday for a giant showdown with the Eagles.
And the Cougars will visit Upland.
