Boys Basketball:
Glendora answered a first-round defeat at the Classic at Damien pretty well.
On Tuesday, the Tartans fell to Alameda, 62-54, in the Bronze Division opener for both programs.
On Wednesday, though, GHS cruised to a 72-35 victory over South Bakersfield.
Glendora’s offense has been sluggish of late, so outscoring the Spartans 28-11 in the first quarter must have been a shot in the arm for the Tartans.
Colton Gray had a game-high 20 points.
Elijah Regan chipped in with nine points.
Garrett Dykstra and Chris Lee contributed seven points apiece.
Sebastian Demano and Vince Montalbo provided six points each in Wednesday’s victory.
Up next: GHS (11-6) will battle Lakewood tonight at 8:30 at Life Pacific University.
The Lancers (10-5) defeated Leuzinger, 70-54, on Wednesday.
