Girls Basketball:
For the second time in six days, Glendora has defeated a talented Rancho Cucamonga program.
The Tartans defeated the Cougars (53-51) in last Saturday’s title game of the Kaiser Tournament.
And last night, GHS claimed a 50-41 victory over RCHS in the semifinal round of the Covina Tournament.
Rylie Anderson hit a pair of 3’s, and she had a game-high 15 points for the Tartans.
‘Ronnie’ Reagan Herrmann chipped in with 14 points, and nine of Brianna Gomez’s 11 points came from beyond the 3-point line.
Julissa Jefferson hit a pair of 3-pointers, and she led RCHS with 13 points.
Lauren Jensen and Ndiah Hall had seven points apiece for the Cougars.
Up next: RCHS will battle Temescal Canyon (5-1) at 6, and GHS faces the 11th ranked program in the state, Rosary Academy, in the tournament title game at 7:30.
