Boys Basketball:
Pasadena earned its way into Saturday’s Rose City Classic title game.
And to get there, they needed a 71-64 victory over Village Christian in overtime.
PHS outscored VCHS 15-11 in the fourth period, and 14-7 in the overtime session.
Jovan Jester was just an assist away from a triple-double.
Jester finished with 22 points, 12 rebounds, nine assists, five steals and he hit three 3-pointers.
Desmond Every chipped in with 22 points, including four 3-pointers, two rebounds and a pair of steals.
Gavin Hollins-Law finished with 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and two steals.
DeMille Brown contributed seven points and nine rebounds.
Up next: PHS will face unbeaten Crespi (8-0) tonight (Saturday) at 8:15 at Maranatha High School.
