Football:
Every time La Salle gets knocked down, the Lancers get back up.
And that’s exactly what Ben Buys and his staff demand from their players.
One week after a 16-point home loss to Covina, the Lancers thumped their host from Pasadena Poly, 42-14, in an 11 am game on Saturday.
Zach Lifton went 12-of-17 for 225 yards.
Lifton threw three TD passes and was picked once.
David Vanden Bosch had a huge game for the La Salle ground game.
Vanden Bosch gained 202 yards on 23 carries and that included TD runs of 5, 5 and 46 yards.
Mauricio Pavon had four catches for 73 yards and TD receptions of 26 and 42 yards.
Aidan Leyland caught three passes for 98 yards, and Thomas Gomez finished with 33 yards on two catches, which included a 14-yard TD pass from Lifton.
