College Football:
Mt. SAC, the third ranked program in the state, cruised to a 42-21 victory over visiting Allan Hancock.
The Mounties had a 475-287 advantage in total offense and improved to 3-0.
The Bulldogs got as close as 14-7 in the second quarter, but Mt. SAC was able to pull away.
Alex Flores completed 14-of-21 for 185 yards, and the MSAC quarterback had TD runs of 1 and 5 yards to give the Mounties a 28-7 lead in the second period.
Nicholas Floyd had a game-high 139 yards rushing on eight carries.
Floyd had a 31-yard TD run with just less than two minutes gone by to give MSAC a 7-0 lead.
Former Bonita quarterback Sean Jastrab saw some time on Saturday, and Jastrab hit Anthony Felton on a 15-yard score.
Isaiah Dickerson carried the ball eight times for 43 yards.
Dickerson had a 2-yard TD run late in the second quarter.
Samuel Green caught three passes for 73 yards, and Tremont Brewer had four receptions for 58 yards in the win.
Juan Salas had a game-high nine tackles, while Jatin Surprenant totaled seven tackles, including one for loss.
Branyden Hapner had the Mounties lone pick of the game.
Up next: The Mounties travel to Glendora on Saturday at 6 to battle Citrus College.
The Owls (3-0) defeated Grossmont, 36-15, and their 17-game current win streak is tops in California.
