Schiefelbein went six scoreless innings and allowed just two hits to lead Corona to a 7-0 victory over the visiting Cougars.
He didn’t issue a walk and struck out eight in the first round of the CIF-SS Division 1 playoffs.
Jake Skelskey got the final three outs for the Panthers.
Jake Peyton, Jonathan Manuel and Aiden Bravo had the three RCHS hits.
Brock Foulds got the loss, allowing five runs on seven hits over his three innings.
Foulds didn’t issue a base on balls and struck out one.
