Austin Paul ruined Maranatha’s postseason plans.
The Long Beach Millikan starter went the distance, allowing two runs (one earned) on five hits in the Rams 3-2 victory at Brookside Park.
Paul issued one walk and fanned three Maranatha batters.
Bryan Richman doubled and scored.
Dylan Zdunek went 3-for-3 and scored.
Cider Canon had a single and an RBI.
Zach Strickland got the loss after allowing three runs on one hit over 2 1/3 innings.
Strickland walked three and fanned four Millikan batters.
Jackson Hisey provided four scoreless innings in relief.
Cameron Hegamin went 2-for-4 with a double, run and had one RBI.
Anthony Pack walked twice, had two singles and scored.
Wyatt Ormonde had a single and an RBI.
Demetri Syrengelas was hit by pitch three times and scored one run.
