Baseball:
Garrett Patterson was going to make sure that Bonita left Ontario with nothing less than a share of the Palomares League championship.
Patterson went five scoreless innings in the Bearcats 11-0 victory over the Titans.
He allowed one hit, didn’t issue a walk and struck out four.
Tristan Rambaud got the final six outs.
Rambaud allowed just one hit, no walks and struck out three.
Jacob Castro and Eric Saldana had one hit apiece to account for the Colony offense.
Mac Willis was stuck with the loss.
Willis surrendered six runs (five earned) on 11 hits over four innings.
He walked two and struck out one BHS batter.
Andrew Sanchez walked, doubled, homered and drove in three runs.
Austin Owens went 3-for-3 with a walk, triple, two runs and a pair of RBIs.
Jared Brunk walked, singled twice, scored three runs and had one RBI.
Bryan Bradshaw went 2-for-3 with a run and three RBIs.
Colton Perez walked, singled three times and scored.
Patterson walked, singled twice and scored.
D Villa singled twice, scored and had an RBI.
