On Friday, the Spartans picked up a 4-2 victory at Rancho Cucamonga to improve to 12-0 in league games.
DHS goes into its final week with a two-game lead over second-place Etiwanda.
Damien got two runs on six hits over three innings off Joshua Almeda.
Almeda didn’t issue a walk and fanned three.
Preston Anderson was touched up for two runs (one earned) on six hits.
He struck out one DHS batter.
Justin Dunn went 2-for-3 and scored.
Julian Hines singled, doubled, scored and drove in a run.
Daniel Serna had an RBI double.
Tyler Daley went 3-for-3 and scored.
Andrew Carter singled, doubled, scored and drove in a pair of runs.
Christian Grino, Jett Hernandez and Dom Ramirez has singles for the Spartans.
Nathan Ries went 4 2/3 innings and allowed one run on five hits.
Ries walked one and fanned a pair of Cougars.
Rudy O’Dell surrendered an unearned run on two hits and a walk over 1 1/3 innings.
And Tristen Usher got the last three outs to earn the save.

Derek Alameda singled and scored.
