Upland bounced back from a disappointing game-one loss to Chino Hills.
After Monday’s 15-2 beatdown at Memorial Park, the Highlanders claimed a 2-1 victory in eight innings.
Sean York went the first six for UHS and allowed one run on four hits.
York issued five walks and fanned five CHHS batters.
Dylan Webb was credited with the win, going two scoreless innings and allowing just one hit.
Webb walked one and struck out a pair.
Luc Dowling walked twice, singled and scored.
Brayden Metcalf singled in Dowling to give the Huskies a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first.
Fox went 2-for-4.
Aidan Langley got the loss, allowing two runs on seven hits over five innings.
He issued two walks and fanned five UHS batters.
The Highlanders tied the game in the top of the sixth when Griffin Cunningham singled and scored on a Gavin Marquez double.
In the eighth, Julian McCord singled, Josh Angely bunted him to second and McCord came home on a Marquez single.
Angely also singled, as did Christian Gomez and Diego Estrada.
