It seems the sixth-month delay to begin the 2020-2021 girls basketball season didn’t affect La Salle’s Ellie Chen.
The Lancers sophomore guard led the program to victories over San Marino and FSHA, respectively.
In the season opener, Chen scored 16 points in a 42-point victory over the Titans.
Ellie and her younger sister, Audrey, actually combined to out-score San Marino, 31-22.
Two days later, Chen finished her week with 21 points.
The Lancers defeated FSHA, 59-28, to improve to 2-0.
Up next: The Lancers will travel to Glendora on Tuesday to take on St. Lucy’s.
