GHS Pulls Away From Rancho Cucamonga After Huge Second Half Surge; Tartans Claim 76-40 Road Victory

After a pair of lopsided losses to Mater Dei and Downey to start the season, Glendora entered Saturday’s contest at Rancho Cucamonga hoping to secure its first victory of 2021.

The Tartans took a five-point lead into the break and then just turned it on.

GHS out-scored Rancho Cucamonga, 50-19, in the second half, and cruised to a 76-40 victory.

Hailey Schafer led all scorers with 19 points.

Karley Tilton added 13 points in the win, and Rylie Anderson had 12.

Yazmeen Corbett, Madison Mitchell and Aniya Martinez had nine points apiece to lead the Cougars.
