Boys Basketball:
If Pasadena wanted to win back an outright Pacific League championship, they’d need a victory over rival Muir in the regular season finale.
And the Bulldogs got it, but it did not come easily.
PHS would survive in a 71-65 triple-overtime thriller at Pasadena High.
Muir got a game-high 34 points from Saadiq Moore, including three 3-pointers.
Moore tallied 10 rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots.
Fidel Cabrera led the Bulldogs with 20 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals.
Desmond Every chipped in with 15 points, three rebounds and three assists.
Brandon Hardy had 11 points, 10 rebounds, six assists and two steals for the Mustangs, and Joshua Andrews contributed seven points and four rebounds.
Jason Guyton hit four 3’s for PHS and scored 13 points.
Guyton also had nine rebounds, six steals and six blocked shots.
Casey Barrett had six points in the win.
