Girls Basketball:

Glendora had a thoroughly enjoyable and successful Friday night.

It started with a 71-14 thumping of their hosts from Colony.

And then word got to GHS coach Adam Nunemaker that Bonita had knocked off Claremont.

With two games to play, Glendora now had a one-game lead over both Bonita and Claremont.

Rylie Anderson hit three 3’s and finished with 26 points, five rebounds, five assists and 12 steals.

Hailey Schaffer, one of Glendora’s most decorated players in recent memory, continues to shine.

Schaffer hit three 3’s of her own, tallied 18 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists and seven steals.

Reagan Herrmann and Addison Martin both chipped in seven points apiece.

Herrmann had eight rebounds and grabbed four rebounds in Friday’s win.

GHS will host Bonita on Tuesday night in a massive Palomares League showdown.
