Boys Basketball:
San Dimas made a big statement on Thursday night.
The Saints dominated their host from Covina, 60-37, in a battle of unbeatens in Valle Vista League play.
SDHS held the Colts offense to eight points in each of the first three quarters, and opened the fourth period with a
47-24 lead.
Ethan Chavez had a game-high 16 points and made four of San Dimas’ six 3-pointers.
David Liese and Aaron Park chipped in with 10 points each.
Bobby Valdez led Covina with 11 points and Aiden Baltazar contributed nine points.
Valdez and Baltazar hit two 3-pointers each.
Up next: SDHS and CHS will both be in action on Tuesday.
The Saints host Charter Oak and the Colts travel to Diamond Ranch.
Both games are set to tip at 6:30.
