For all intents and purposes, San Dimas put Tuesday’s CIF-SS Division 5 playoff opener away in the first period.
The Saints led 7-0 after eight minutes of play and cruised to a 20-3 victory over their visitors from Palm Springs.
Anthony Duenas and Killian Pressley led the SDHS offensive attack with four goals apiece.
Diego Zazueta and Andon Hanson scored three times each.
Noah Acevedo scored twice, and Ian Romero, Travis Pang, Kyle Howard and Nick Tatevosian chipped in one goal apiece in Tuesday’s victory.
Daniel Gonzalez did most of the work in goal, and Cade Tsonas would close out the win.
Up next: The Saints travel to Santa Ana tomorrow (Thursday) to take on Saddleback.
The Roadrunners (14-7) claimed a 7-5 victory at La Quinta of Westminster.
