It seens that Jacob Duronslet’s decision to return home to Covina High School was beneficial for both sides.
The Colts stud sophomore had five total TD’s in Friday’s 49-27 victory at Chino to clinch the Sierra League championship.
Duronslet had rushing TD’s of 55 and 5 yards.
And he had a pair of TD passes to Ronnie Ropke of 72 and 10 yards, and a 12-yard scoring strike to Da-mion Yeargin.
The Colts led 29-20 at the break, and pulled away in the second half.
Joseph Rangel had 2-and-1-yard TD runs to cap the scoring for Covina.
Nathan Blanco and Gibby Galindo had 1-yard TD runs for Chino.
The Cowboys got a 55-yard halfback pass for a score from Maximus Barroso to Daniel Nakashima in the first half.
And Barroso also caught a 56-yard scoring strike from Chino quarterback Diego Ogata.
