Football:
Glendora’s offensive woes continued on Friday night.
One week after scoring just seven points in a 13-7 loss to Chino Hills, the Tartans met up with Pasadena High School at Citrus College.
The Bulldogs got out to a 35-3 lead, and would claim a 35-10 victory.
Marlan Williams scored on TD runs of 1 and 3 yards.
PHS quarterback Indiana Wijay connected with Michael Liggins on a 7-yard TD pass to give the Bulldogs a 14-3 lead in the third quarter.
Wijay found Camden Jones on a 45-yard scoring strike in the fourth period to give PHS a 35-3 advantage.
Micah McGavin scored on a two-yard run to account for the other Pasadena TD.
Glendora’s Jack Norell converted on a 24-yard field goal in the second quarter to pull GHS to within 7-3 of the Bulldogs.
The Tartans lone TD came on a 29-yard pass from Jake Denerson to Brady Baeza with 4:48 to go in the game.
Marquize Brown had 26 carries for 87 yards, and Zach Ford gained 26 yards on six carries for GHS.
Ford would leave the game with an injury in the first half, and he did not return to action.
Denerson was 5-of-12 for 30 yards, and he gained 28 yards on seven carries.
Up next: PHS travels to Damien on Thursday, and GHS heads to Charter Oak on Friday.
