Football:
To say that Western High School ruined Chino’s season and home opener would be quite the understatement.
The boys from Anaheim thumped the Cowboys, 42-0, and held the Chino offense to just two first downs all night.
Anthony Luna completed 27-of-39 for 273 yards.
Luna tossed three TD passes and was picked once.
Joshua Faulkner rushed for 46 yards on eight carries and scored a pair of TDs.
Luna picked up 34 yards on the ground.
Joshua and Drew Faulkner provided a massive headache for the Cowboys defensive backfield.
Drew caught 12 passes for 113 yards and Joshua totaled five receptions for 85 yards and one TD.
Ayden Ware had three catches for 20 yards, but two went for touchdowns.
Malachi Alatorre had 46 receiving yards on three catches, including one TD.
Up next: Chino travels to Diamond Bar on Saturday night.
The Brahmas (1-0) defeated Esperanza, 28-21, on Friday evening.
